ROCKPORT HARBOR UP THE HILL AND BACK
The Beech Nut Hut is two and a half miles by foot from the corner of Pascal Avenue and Pine Street (Pascal Hall) above the Marina at the head of Rockport Harbor.
From Pine Street head southwest along Pascal Avenue until you reach US Route 1.
Turn right onto Route 1 (Commercial Street) and go .1 miles to Beech Hill Road.
Cross Route 1 and head up Beech Hill Road for 1.5 miles until you reach the gate and dirt road on your left at the Beech Hill Preserve.
Follow the dirt road .5 miles to the top and the Beech Nut Hut.
To complete the 5 mile round trip retrace your route back down the hill to Rockport's historic harbor.
There are no facilities at the top of Beech Hill. If it's hot bring water. There is ample shade under the porches of the building but see the schedule for when the hut is open. The Coastal Mountains Land Trust asks that you stay on the trails and keep your dogs on a lead. Bicycles are not allowed beyond the paved road at the entrance to the preserve
